Aurora man accused of roadside murder in Lakewood DENVER (KDVR) -- An Aurora man is in jail, accused of shooting and killing someone along 6th Avenue in Lakewood earlier this week.The Lakewood Police Department said Randy Jiron, 40, of Aurora is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on suspicion of committing first-degree murder. 8 charged with up to 88 counts each in alleged group theft, drug ring Police said they responded to 6th Avenue and Simms Street on reports of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said the victim, a transient man identified as 52-year-old Craig Bruce, was soliciting on the side of the road when a vehicle pulled up and the man inside shot him, according to police.When police arrived on the scene, they said they found Bruce suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.Lakewood PD and the Adams County SWAT team found Jiron at a home in Strasburg where police said he eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.

5 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash on SR-836 causes small fire Several victims were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on State Road 836 in Miami caused a small fire on the highway. Officials said five people were hospitalized after a collision occurred along the eastbound lanes of the highway near Northwest 42nd Avenue, at around 11:40 p.m., Wednesday. Florida Highway Patrol troopers, along with City of Miami Police and Miami-Dade Police units, responded to the scene of the crash.According to FHP, the crash involved at least two motorcycles and five vehicles.One person recorded a video of the scene as they passed by the area and captured one of the motorcycles engulfed in flames on the shoulder of the highway.
