Charlie Blackmon signs one-year, $13 million contract extension with Rockies Rockies icon Charlie Blackmon will return for one more season with the team.The club announced Friday night that Blackmon, 37, had agreed to a one-year contract extension covering the 2024 season. The Rockies did not disclose the terms of the agreement, but according to Robert Murray of FanSided.com, the deal is for $13 million with $2 million in performance bonuses based on plate appearances.The four-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger winner was scheduled to become a free agent at the end of the season. 2 men rob woman, use her credit card at nearby Target in Ventura Two men were arrested on Friday after they robbed a woman, stole her purse, and used her card to make fraudulent purchases. At approximately 8:21 p.m., Camarillo police responded to reports of a robbery in the 5000 Block of Verdugo Way. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect approached the victim in an attempt to rob her and steal her purse. A struggle ensued and the victim was thrown to the ground and dragged. Man’s death on Antioch trail investigated as homicide ANTIOCH — A fight on the Delta de Anza Trail in Antioch ended in a man’s death Friday morning, police said.The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m. on the trail near the 4100 block of Null Drive, Antioch police Lt. Rick Martin said in a statement. Officers and Contra Costa County firefighters arrived to find a man in his mid-30s to 40s unresponsive on the ground.The man received emergency care, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, Martin said.
