Woman Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision near Francisco StreetSAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 21, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a pedestrian crash on Laguna Street left a woman with serious injuries.The collision occurred around 4:26 p.m., at the intersection of Laguna and Francisco Street in the Marina District neighborhood.Responding officers discovered an unconscious female pedestrian lying on the roadway. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. OAKLAND — A 60-year-old man fatally shot Monday evening night while doing yard work outside his Maxwell Park neighborhood home was identified by police Wednesday as David Schneider.Homicide investigators are still trying to confirm a motive for the killing and identify suspects.Schneider, who lived in the 5000 block of Camden Street for decades, was shot just before 6 p.m. Monday while trimming trees and doing other yard work. After he was shot, he was able to stagger to a next-door neighbor’s home where he collapsed and was later pronounced dead.Investigators are reviewing video surveillance footage from the area to see if he was the victim of an attempted robbery or something else. SAN FRANCISCO — A man and two dogs were safe and sound after falling off a cliff Wednesday morning and being rescued a short time later, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.Rescuers pulled a man and his two dogs to safety on June 21, 2023 at Fort Funston in San Francisco, California. The initial call came in at 11:39 a.m. Fort Funston, on Skyline Boulevard at John Muir Drive, west of Lake Merced. Authorities did not initially say how the man and the dogs had fallen or how far down they fell.Rescuers confirmed shortly before 12:30 p.m. tha tthe man at 12:24 p.m. at Fort Funston, a conservancy located on the southwest coast of the city featuring 200-foot high bluffs of the ocean. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A man and two dogs that went off a cliff at Fort Funston have been successfully rescued, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. (KRON) -- A transgender man took to Reddit to speak out about a local Walgreens pharmacist refusing to give him his prescribed medication, all because it "went against his religion." One dead in Oakland Embarcadero shooting Roscoe Rike, 30, of Oakland, says he has been going to the Walgreens pharmacy on Telegraph Avenue for nearly a decade. He's been picking up his HRT, or hormone-replacement therapy, at the same location for the past three years, always without issue. Rike says this time was different. A pharmacist that Rike had never seen at the location before asked what exactly the medication was for, which seemed unusual."I told him I was pretty sure that it wasn't any of his business," Rike said.
